BAföG - study with social support
Frequently asked questions (FAQs)
Submitting an application is worthwhile!
It is particularly important for first-semester students to submit their first BAföG application as early as possible so that they can receive funding from the start of the semester.
Therefore, our advice to first-semester students: Do not wait until the beginning of the semester to apply for BAföG!
The Federal Training Assistance Act (BAföG) has been opening up educational opportunities for young people since 1971. BAföG supports students in completing a degree programme that suits their aptitudes and interests, depending on their family's financial situation.
