Becoming a tutor
Why should I become a tutor of the Intercultural Tutors Team?
If you join the team you will have the possibility to support other students and help them starting out in Darmstadt. You can get involved and realise your own projects. You will gain experiences while working as a tutor that will benefit you during your studies and career. When you are organising events in Darmstadt or Hesse, you will get to know the region from a different perspective. Through your work with international and German students, you will have possibilities to improve a variety of languages. Of course, you will have a lot of fun, too!
What is required to become a tutor of ITT?
- You have to be registered as a student at Hochschule Darmstadt or TU Darmstadt.
- You should be in Darmstadt for at least two more semesters.
- You enjoy communicating with others.
- You have lived and studied in Darmstadt for a while.
- You can communicate in both German and English.
- You enjoy supporting other students.
What to expect as a tutor?
The tutors of the Intercultural Tutors Team are contact persons for other students. They organise events, inform new students at the beginning of the semester and support international students with formal issues. When you are working as a tutor, you can realise your own events or gain experience while working on established projects and help shape the event programme of the Intercultural Tutors Team As a tutor you will be part of an international team and you will get to know people from all around the wold. Apart from getting a certificate, you will be compensated for your work as a tutor.
Should you fulfill all the requirements (or most of them) and would like to be part of the team, please write us an e-mail.
