Introduction FairBox
In order to be able to transport our hot and cold dishes optimally and, above all, in an environmentally friendly manner, we now offer FairBox reusable trays.
These are made of 100% recyclable polypropylene and are also 100% produced in Germany.
The stackable trays are a 2-chamber system with dome lid, which is dishwasher safe, freezer safe and microwave safe. The boxes are both tasteless and odorless and food safe. In addition, they convince with their high quality, as they are break and cut resistant.
Introduction of reusable "FairCup" cups
The „FairCup“ is available at the start in the refectories Stadtmitte, Lichtwiese and Schöfferstraße for a deposit of 1,50 € (1€ for the cup, 50 Cent for the lid), due to the removable lid the "FairCup" additionally functions as a packaging system. The cups are 100% recyclable, can be reused up to 1000 times and are certified with the "Blue Angel".
More than 800 partners are now involved in the FairCup reusable deposit system throughout Germany. In Darmstadt, in addition to the Studierendenwerk, the following companies are currently on board:
- Cafe Bellevue
