Payment of chip card credit

You can have the remaining credit on your card paid out during regular opening hours at any of our bistro cash desks and at Schöffers.

Payment of defective chip cards

The balance on defective cards can only be paid out at the cash desks of the bistros Stadtmitte, Schöfferstraße, Lichtwiese and Dieburg during opening hours.

Hand in your defective chip card directly at the bistro cash desk. You will receive a receipt with the card number, your name, the date, place of return and the name of the employee.

The credit can only be paid out on the basis of the card number; if this is no longer clearly legible, no credit can be refunded. You must wait at least one day between handing in the chip card and reading the credit balance or creating the payment slip. This is the only way to ensure that all external devices such as photocopiers, washing machines, etc., have been called up and that the credit is correctly displayed on the card.

Payment can be made on the following day at the earliest. Please come back to this cash desk in the next few days to collect your credit.

Returning the chip card and the payment slip

If the defective chip card is not a Studierendenwerk chip card, you will receive it back for further use after it has been reset to zero.

If the defective chip card is a Studierendenwerk chip card, it can be returned to the Studierendenwerk after zeroing.
