In your application, please describe your current situation in as much detail and as comprehensibly as possible. Attach bank statements and receipts.

Students from Ukraine, Russia or Belarus who have financial, residence or (study) organizational problems due to the current situation can contact our Social Counselling Service at any time. The advisors are there for you by phone, online, via video call or in person. Please contact us and together we will find solutions for your situation.

The DAAD has set up a website to provide information about current offers of assistance for Ukrainian students, scientists and scholars.

One more piece of information about student financing:
The German government plans to open BAföG for refugee Ukrainian students with § 24 AufenthG on June 1, 2022. A press release (page only available in German) on this can be found on the website of the German Student Union.

Financial donations
There are different actors you can support. Depending on what is important for you.
Donation receipt for your tax return: For donations of up to 200.00 EUR, it is sufficient for the tax office to receive the bank statement. If you donate more than 200.00 EUR, you should include your name and address with the transfer. The donation receipt will then be sent by mail.
